Cars

• Over the years there have been numerous cars in our family. First in the Leonard family then the Shirley family. The first one I can remember was the 1949 Oldsmobile, green in color and so sleek! Traveling to Michigan was a pleasure. I loved the hunchback that it had.
• Then in 1953 dad bought a 1954 Chevrolet station wagon which became mine and honeys car...oh the traveling we did in that car...no heat or air conditioner..just a car...lol .Oh it did have automatic transmission...it had another name..will try and remember.
• The next car that mom and dad bought was a yellow 4 door  1957 Chevrolet..how little did we know that that car would become a classic...I went with dad when he purchased that car...it was really nice. He later gave it to my Aunt Berta Lee....then she wrecked it and off it went to car heaven! Later in the 80"s he bought another 1957 Chevrolet but it was red and a 2 door. My son, Vann, bought that car from mother after dad died , he kept the car for several years, traded it for a truck!!   Even steven!!!
• After that I was married  with the 1954 station wagon in tow...mother and dad bought a Cadillac, Oldsmobiles the settled on a Toyota in their later life. Dad passed away in 1997.
• Now for the Shirleys...alot more to write about. First was the 1954 Chevrolet, it died and a
